A life well-lived, full of laughter, love, and unforgettable stories.
Scott Alan McLean passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, in Westlake Village, California, at the age of 81. Born on March 22, 1944, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Scott lived each day with joy, warmth, and a twinkle in his eye.
He was a devoted father to Meg McLean Corso (Colby), Jenny McLean, and Cameron McLean, and the proudest grandpa to Parker Corso, who was the light of his life. He is survived by his children, grandson, and a wide circle of cherished friends who became his “chosen” family. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Murray McLean, and his mother, Lillian Mae Kochsiek McLean.
Scott grew up in St. Paul MN and later the family moved to the San Fernando valley. In 1962 he entered California Lutheran College in Thousand Oaks as a Freshman. He was a member of the first CLC Kingsmen Football team. His life was filled with belly laughs, great stories, and a deep, unwavering love for the people and passions that meant the most to him—his family, his friends, and the fast cars and sports he followed with zeal. Whether he was watching anything on ESPN, telling a joke, or cheering on his grandson, he brought energy, fun, and fierce loyalty to everything he did.
Scott was a lifetime supporter of Cal Lu football.
