Jake Clayborn played high school football at Righetti High School in Santa Maria in 2000-2003, then joining the coaching staff there upon graduation, staying through 2005 when he moved to Thousand Oaks to play football again, but this time in 2005 as a Kingsmen and to pursue his degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine. In 2006 he pursued a brief coaching opportunity at Bellingham High School in Washington, then returning to his studies and becoming a Student Assistant Coach at Cal Lutheran in 2007, assisting the Head Coach / Offensive Line Coach and Tight Ends. After two seasons I was asked to stay on as the Offensive Line / Tight Ends Coach. In the third season after graduating, Clay. became Cal Lutheran’s Run Game Coordinator.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time with Brett and his family, along with playing and watching sports. He was names to the 2013 Future Coaches Academy just this year.
In the Spring of 2012, he accepted his current position as Offensive Graduate Assistant at St. Cloud State University working with the Tight Ends and Running Backs.
Clay married his wife Brett in July of 2009.
