David Lee Regalado, 79, born May 17, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas and passed away August 28, 2022 in Reno, Nevada.
David Lee Regalado beloved husband, father and friend, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022 surrounded by his family holding on to his wife’s hand. Born in Little Rock, AK to David S. Regalado and Mary Lee Regalado, the oldest of four siblings. He grew up in Southern California surrounded by his extended Regalado family. He loved the memories and stories he had of growing up with his cousins. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Education at California Lutheran University in 1966, where he was a two-sport athlete playing football and baseball. He received his Master’s in Education from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1983. Dave was inducted into the Cal-Lutheran College Football Hall of Fame in 2004, and at one time, he was sought after by the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos among other teams. After college he entered the Air Force where he served in the reserves in the Military Police. His teaching and coaching career spanned from his first teaching position at Royal High school in Simi, California, teaching history, coaching football and baseball to Santa Clara High School where they won 3 State Championships, before moving to Nevada. Nevada was to be his forever home. |
